Statement
In 2012, Donata Wenders completed the series «In the Snow», a minimalist work made in the German countryside. The viewer discovers an immaculate landscape in which figures seem to float, trapped in a closed and melancholic world.

In an immaculate world, a tall silhouette in a black coat appears, floating, dancing in harmony with the falling snowflakes. Along the lines of her previous work, she subtly makes use of light, shadows and mirror effects with In the Snow, an ode to the anonymous wanderer.
