Born on 13 June 1894 in Courbevoie, Jacques Henri Lartigue was given a photographic camera at the age of 8. He has since collected memories of family holidays, trips or sporting activities such as aviation or automobile, passions shared with his brother.

First a painter, he was internationally recognized as a photographer in 1962 when “Life Magazine” published a portfolio for him. A few pages in the historical issue on the assassination of John Fitzgerald Kennedy.
