Press Release

Born in 1921 into a family of Burgundian winemakers and died in Paris in 2007, she spent her life documenting that of others, especially the daily life in the countryside and the struggles of women for their rights. Vote, pill, abortion, equal pay…

She also works for Family Planning, even before the passing of the law authorizing contraception. “One of the most important events of our time,” she writes, “gives women the choice to give life. This is a significant social change.”
