For ARCO Madrid 2019, Richard Saltoun Gallery celebrates the work of two important Latin American artists. The booth will feature new and recent pieces by the Cuban-Mexican artist Gustavo PÉREZ MONZÓN, who, after being rediscovered by the great collector Ella Cisneros, only recently returned to making art after a near 40-year hiatus. Pérez Monzón’s unique visual vocabulary will be in dialogue with rare works on paper by GEGO (1912–1994), a leading figure of South American abstraction.
