Seven contemporary artists, both emerging and established, embrace the art of embroidery in a group presentation curated by Paola Ugolini. Inspired by Rozsika Parker’s influential essay from 1984, ‘The Subversive Stitch: Embroidery and the Making of the Feminine’, the presentation frees stitch-work from its traditional domestic setting and places it in the world of fine art.
