Opening Reception

Sat, Jul 22, 2017 from 6:00 – 12:34pm UTC
Join artist Katie O'Hagan and Hampton's artist, Daniel Pollera for an evening to delve beneath the surface and challenge stereotypes. This event is in collaboration with Hetrick - Martin Institute (HMI), which believes that all young people regardless of sexual orientation or identity, deserve a safe and supportive environment in which to achieve their full potential. Both Moseley and O’Hagan’s figurative portraits tackle topics of identity, personal narrative, youth, and contemporary culture.Their exceptional technique allows them to create intimate, emotional and introspective paintings that captivate viewers with symbolic accounts of her life and narratives that reveal themselves. Moseley’s pop-portraits of diverse contemporary youth among her community allow us to see beyond the outward appearance and engage with the figure on a psychological level. Further enhancing the context of our 'girl next door' we are concurrently exhibiting Daniel Pollera, a Hamptons based painter, specializing in architectural landscapes and seascapes, the cityscapes of Italian Painter, Marco Martelli and urban landscapes of UK based Painter, Rick Garland. Mingle with the Artists, Katie O'Hagan and Daniel Pollera, and many of the HMI supporters.
