Opening Reception

Sat, Oct 10, 2015 from 5:00 – 7:00pm UTC
Opening reception on honour of the artist Opening speech at 17:30 by Paula van den Bosch, curator You are welcome The idea for a new series of solos* titled ‘Relations’ came about in spring 2014 when SEA Foundation invited Paul Drissen to show his work in it’s transparent space. Drissen made a surprising and daring proposal. He aimed at developing an exhibition in dialogue with art historian and curator Paula van den Bosch, his partner for 25 years. The exhibition will be accompanied by an exclusive hand printed artist book, edition 60, signed and numbered, made in collaboration with Jan van Eyck Academy Maastricht.

Book launch (artist book edition 60 signed and numbered)

Sat, Oct 10, 2015 from 5:00 – 7:00pm UTC
Released and launched at the opening reception is a bilingual (NL/EN) artist book which features as an artwork in the Paul Drissen's exhibition "boogje boogje lijn lijn kleur vlak punt." This unique book is intended as an autonomous work of art and creates new links between the exhibited works and the material reality of the paper. This is reflected in the choice of images as well as the book’s layout and design. This concept is reinforced by the manual Riso-print of the book. The publication, 28x20 cm, 24 pages, is produced in cooperation with Van Eyck in Maastricht and costs 20 euro.
