We are delighted to present Natalya Hughes’s second solo exhibition with Sullivan+Strumpf, These Girls of the Studio. Through her response to the life and work of Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Hughes probes at knotty questions of female representation. Following her major solo presentation The Interior at the Institute of Modern Art, Brisbane and touring, the exhibition brings together a collection of paintings and hand-tufted rugs that challenge and subvert relationships between gender and art.
