section PROCESS: Matthew Allen vs Paolo Cavinato

Press Release

The combination of the works of Matthew Allen and Paolo Cavinato offers to a viewer, two different approaches defining portions of a space.
Matthew Allen’s work is based on the replication of endless series of layers of graphite. Such a long meditative process produces as a result an impeccable compact surface of polished graphite.
Paolo Cavinato uses fishing lines trajectories instead to draw perspectives of internal spaces. The artist makes hand pencil drawings of such mental spaces and then from the bidimensional state, he turns traits into 3-D objects made of multilayers lines threads
