Imageworks Gallery is delighted to invite you for an evening dedicated to our latest exhibition, Nigeria Now: Rulers & Festivals by George Osodi. Supported by Legatto Lifestyle Magazine, Imageworks Gallery will be opening for a private view on Thursday 11th August, 18:30 - 21:00. We welcome you to explore the visual encapsulation of changing understandings and power structures in one of the world’s fastest evolving economies. Imageworks Gallery is proud to be hosting Osodi’s work which has gained international acclaim both for its photojournalistic integrity and its artistic vision in capturing the characters of his subjects. Winner of the Fujifilm African Photojournalist of the Year award (2004), top 10 shortlist in the Sony World Photography Awards (2010) and chosen this year as a featured artist at the Yinchuan Biennale; George Osodi continues to promote African contemporary art, acting as an ambassador for the culture of modern Nigeria. Imageworks Gallery welcomes you to an evening of thought-provoking discussion accompanied by drinks and canapés, whilst taking in the stunning works of the Nigeria Now: Rulers & Festivals collection.
