For the opening of Magic Bus, a new project room at Galleria Antonio Colombo Arte Contemporanea in Milan, the gallery is pleased to present "Myths and Fables," a double solo show featuring Lusesita and Daphne Christoforou.
DAPHNE CHRISTOFOROU | LUSESITA Myths and Fables Curated by Ivan Quaroni Lusesita (born in La Rioja, Spain in 1979) and Daphne Christoforou (born in 1987, a native of Nicosia, Cyprus), are artists who use ceramics to make works inspired by fables and classical mythology. Both use the fantasy imagery of the tradition, adapting it to the expressive needs of the modern world. In their creations, differing in technique and style, epos and folklore become filters or magnifiers to interpret the present and the relationship between personal experience and a universal dimension.
