ELENA DEL RIVERO, Love Song
Much of Elena Del Rivero’s work stems from the 9/11 tragedy in New York. With a majority of collages, the artist uses pieces of paint and fabrics rescued from her studio in the city, which was destroyed after the attack before the eyes of the artist herself. Her pieces invite an urgent and necessary reflection on the sociopolitical context that threatens our present, as well as our near future.
