Catherine Sarr

Paris-born, Chicago-based jeweller Catherine Sarr celebrates the forms, symbols and stories that transcends cultural boundaries with her jewelry brand ALMASIKA.

An avid art collector, patron and co-founder of the Prix Sarr in partnership with Beaux-Arts de Paris, Catherine together with her husband Mamadou-Abou Sarr, a trustee of the Art Institute of Chicago, support Art Initiatives and institutions in the U.S, France and West Africa. Catherine serves at the international Board of the Palais de Tokyo, is founding member of FACE Chicago ( French American Cultural Exchange) and a member of the Advisory Committee of Arts of Africa of the Art Institute of Chicago.
