The Association of International Photography Art Dealers (AIPAD) has announced the participating galleries for the 2017 edition of The Photography Show, March 30 - April 2, at Pier 94 in New York City. More than 100 of the world’s leading fine art photography galleries will present a range of museum-quality work including contemporary, modern, and 19th-century photographs, as well as photo-based art, video, and new media. With the move of the Show to Pier 94, AIPAD is working closely with galleries, curators, artists, and collectors to create an expanded program for the highly anticipated 37th edition of the fair, which commences with a vernissage on March 29, 2017.
One of the world’s most important annual photography events, The Photography Show is the longest running and foremost exhibition dedicated to the photographic medium.
“This will be the most exciting year in AIPAD’s history,” said Catherine Edelman, President, AIPAD, and Owner, Catherine Edelman Gallery, Chicago. “We are thrilled to be building an innovative and larger fair at Pier 94 with more U.S. galleries, more international galleries, and more of the expertise, scholarship, and connoisseurship that people expect from AIPAD.”
“AIPAD’s work in promoting the best in fine art photography spans 37 years,” said Christiane Fischer, President and CEO of AXA ART Americas. “As Premier Corporate Partner of AIPAD, we look forward with great enthusiasm to joining the 2017 edition of the Show in its new home.”
