El décimo año del premio EFG Latin America Art Award, en colaboración con ArtNexus comienza las nominaciones iniciales 2020 utilizando medios digitales. El premio de adquisición de una obra de arte de un artista latinoamericano contemporáneo, es seleccionado a través de un proceso de nominados en las ferias de arte latinoamericanas. El proceso de nominados comenzó este año en arteBA Special Edition. ArtNexus invitó a las galerías participantes en arteBA Special Edition a postular a uno o dos artistas. La nominación para esta feria fue realizada con la colaboración de Alexia Tala, crítica e historiadora de arte con énfasis en América Latina, junto con Celia Sredni de Birgragher, editora y directora de ArtNexus. Como en años anteriores, una vez que cada uno de los finalistas en las ferias de arte latinoamericanas participantes han sido nominados, el ganador será seleccionado y su obra de arte será adquirida por EFG Capital. Toda la colección del EFG Latin America Art Award se exhibe de forma permanente en las oficinas de EFG Capital en Miami. El primer nominado es Daniel Otero Torres con “Arctic White”, de la galería Mor Charpentier en arteBA Special Edition.
The tenth anniversary of the EFG Latin America Art Award, in partnership with ArtNexus, will commence its initial 2020 nominations utilizing the digital media. The acquisition award for a work of art by a Contemporary Latin American Artist is selected through a nominee process at each participating Latin American art fair. This year the nomination process begins with arteBA Special Edition. ArtNexus invited the participating galleries in arteBA Special Edition to submit one or two artists. The artist nomination for this fair was in collaboration with Alexia Tala, critic and art historian with an emphasis on Latin America, along with Celia Sredni de Birbragher, editor and publisher of ArtNexus.
As in prior years, once each of the finalists in the participating Latin American art fairs has been nominated, the winner will be selected, and EFG Capital will acquire their artwork. The entire collection of the EFG Latin America Art Award is on permanent display at EFG Capital’s Miami offices. The first nominee is Daniel Otero Torres with “Arctic White”, from Mor Charpentier gallery at arteBA Special Edition.
