Artissima is accepting applications for its 2016 edition

The forthcoming edition of Artissima will take place from the 3rd (preview) to the 6th of November 2016 in Torino.

Artissima’s focus on research and experimentation continues to build up its reputation and making it a truly unique event of the contemporary art scene.

With a distinguished attention to young artists and avant-garde positions, curated booths and high quality presentations, the fair is becoming an unmissable opportunity for galleries who wish to show their work to sophisticated collectors and a demanding public.

We are now accepting applications for Main Section, Dialogue, New Entries and Art Editions

Each form and the members of the Selection Committee are available online.

Main Section

The Main Section brings together outstanding galleries in the international art scene: established names offer collectors and art lovers an event of the highest quality.

Dialogue

Dialogue is exclusively reserved to emerging galleries or galleries with an experimental approach applying with either a monographic booth or with works by 2-3 artists in dialogue.

New Entries

The New Entries section presents the most interesting young galleries opened from less than five years and taking part in Artissima for the first time.

Art Editions

Art Editions is a special section of Artissima devoted to galleries and other spaces presenting editions, prints and multiples by contemporary artists.

Back to the Future

Artissima is also accepting applications for the curated section Back to the Future devoted to the rediscovery of the avant-garde.

Centrally placed within the fair and at the core of the programme for its historical relevance, Back to the Future presents monographic booths by artists whose work plays an important role in the history of art and deserve renewed attention.

This year, the section features museum quality solo exhibitions focusing exclusively on works realized between 1970 and 1989: a period that reflects a key moment in art history which still strongly influence art today.

The section counts on the in-depth commitment of a Board of international curators who, with their special vision and knowledge, strongly contribute to the high quality and research of the presentations on show. The Committee will select the participating artists and galleries among the submitted projects, as well as directly proposing artists for the section.
