Auckland Art Fair is now accepting applications for the 2018 edition which will be held from Wednesday 23 – Sunday 27 May at The Cloud on Auckland’s CBD waterfront.

Auckland Art Fair is New Zealand’s preeminent contemporary art event. Offering galleries, the opportunity to showcase the work of outstanding artists of the wider Pacific-rim region, the Fair attracts collectors and curators with an interest and engagement in the same area.

WHY AUCKLAND ART FAIR IS DIFFERENT

In a global marketplace crowded with international art fairs, Auckland Art Fair is different.

The Fair unashamedly frames a conversation around the wider Pacific region, underpinned by the operational standards of major international art fairs, with unique New Zealand warmth and hospitality.

Just as New Zealand artists take from their heritage and look outwards to create intensely relevant works that resonate throughout the world, Auckland Art Fair reflects this approach, and seeks to create an event from the starting point of being part of Australasia and the wider pacific region.

Auckland Art Fair recognizes the investment that galleries make in coming to Auckland and responds to this through a number of initiatives designed to introduce galleries and the artists they represent to a range of institutional curators, alongside new collectors and new publics.
