Dallas Art Fair Announces 2017 Exhibitors

The 2017 Fair brings several exciting additions to its exhibitor list, including world-renowned galleries Gagosian Gallery, Lehmann Maupin, Simon Lee Gallery, Skarstedt Gallery, andShane Campbell Gallery. This installment will reveal over 90 galleries from 16 different countries. More than 30 of these participants are new to the fair, with 70% returning.  

"The diversification and growth of our roster is a testament to the strength of the city's burgeoning collector community," says Dallas Art Fair Co-Founder, John Sughrue. "This year's lineup is our strongest and most international to date."  

Proceeds from ticket sales to the Dallas Art Fair's Opening Gala will be donated to the Dallas Museum of Art, the Dallas Contemporary and the Nasher Sculpture Center. "We look forward to collaborating with our major institutions on fundraising and presenting visitors with an incredible series of programming," says Sughrue.  

In addition, the fair will feature the second year of its Dallas Art Fair Foundaiton Acquisition Program in collaboration with Dallas Museum of Art, with funding doubling to $100,000. Hoffman Family Senior Curator of Contemporary Art Gavin Delahunty will select works directly from participating galleries to be purchased for the Dallas Museum of Art's permanent collection.  

Dallas Arts Week will return with a sharp succession of arts events: a solo exhibition featuring the work of Iris van Herpen will open at the Dallas Museum of Art; the Nasher Sculpture Center will present a solo show with Pierre Huyghe; the Dallas Contemporary will open exhibitions featuring Pia Camil, Taryn Simon, and Keer Tanchek; Annabelle Selldorf will speak at the Dallas Museum of Art; Steven Parrino's work will be on view at the Power Station; and the Goss-Michael Foundation will feature (as it is slated to open during MTV RE:DEFINE) a solo presentation Billy Childish.
