Welcome to the inaugural edition of Draw Art Fair London, where drawing is celebrated as a complex vital creative process holding a unique place in our artistic culture. From the earliest history we marked walls with lines and images, recording observations, depicting animals or patterns. These drawings revealed a coherent vision, referenced life experiences with intentional traces, forming a collective body of information that appeals to everyone.
The inclusion of painting, sculpture, photography, video, new technologies, is part of the Draw philosophy as it provides a dialogue between drawing and other mediums, illustrating the fundamental importance of the hand, making a mark, as the central role.
Drawing offers the viewer something old and new, unique and fresh to the eye. It provides a deeper platform of intuition, knowledge, even spirit. An understanding that can be absorbed by first time viewers as well as seasoned experts.
