Making Painting: Helen Frankenthaler and JMW Turner launches Turner Contemporary’s exceptional 2014 programme. Showcasing the work of the celebrated American Abstract Expressionist painter Helen Frankenthaler, alongside paintings by JMW Turner from the 19th century, the exhibition includes 24 paintings by Frankenthaler, whose last museum exhibition in the United Kingdom was at the Whitechapel Gallery in 1969.
Helen Frankenthaler and JMW Turner opens to the public on Saturday 25 January 2104 and will run to 11 May 2014.
