MIART 2019 CONFIRMS THE FONDAZIONE FIERA MILANO ACQUISITION FUND VALUED AT 100,000 EUROS ALL PRIZES WILL RETURN FOR MIART 2019: HERNO PRIZE, FIDENZA VILLAGE PRIZE FOR GENERATIONS, ON DEMAND PRIZE BY SNAPORAZVEREIN, LCA PRIZE FOR EMERGENT, AND ROTARY CLUB MILANO BRERA PRIZE FOR CONTEMPORARY ART AND YOUNG ARTISTS, AND CEDIT PRIZE FOR OBJECT WITH NEW PRESTIGIOUS INTERNATIONAL JURIES
Milan, 30 October 2018 – miart, the international modern and contemporary art fair organized by Fiera Milano, is pleased to announce the International Juries of its Prizes and Acquisition Fund and to confirm for the 2019 edition the partnerships that make these awards possible.
The importance of the awards that have been supporting miart for many years now, contributing to making it Italy’s benchmark art fair, is confirmed by the involvement of increasingly prestigious international personalities in the role of jurors. Indeed, important museum directors and curators are tasked with assigning the show’s numerous awards and identifying the works and artists that will enrich the collections of its Acquisition Funds.
HERNO PRIZE Conceived as a partnership between miart and Herno, the prize of Euro 10.000 is now in its fifth edition and will be assigned to the booth with the best concept and design.

FIDENZA VILLAGE PRIZE FOR GENERATIONS Conceived as a partnership between miart and Fidenza Village, one of the Collection of Villages by Value Retail, the prize of Euro 10.000 is now in its third edition and will be assigned to the best dialogue within the section Generations.

LCA PRIZE FOR EMERGENT Conceived as as a partnership between miart and LCA Studio Legale, the prize of Euro 4.000 was established in 2015 and will be assigned to the best presentation within the section Emergent.

ON DEMAND PRIZE BY SNAPORAZVEREIN Conceived as a partnership between miart and the association for experimental productions Snaporazverein, the prize of Euro 10.000 is now in its third edition and will be assigned to the best presentation within the section On Demand. The prize will support a project by the awarded artist to be realized in the future.

ROTARY CLUB MILANO BRERA PRIZE FOR CONTEMPORARY ART AND YOUNG ARTISTS The prize is now in its XI edition, it has been established in 2008 as the first recognition in miart context. It consists in the acquisition of an artwork by an emerging or mid-career artist to be donated to a Milanese art institution.

Therefore as proof of miart commitment in promoting and supporting experimental design, it has been confirmed the third edition of CEDIT Prize for Object, conceived as a partnership between miart and CEDIT – Ceramiche d’Italia, this acquisition prize will be awarded to an Italian designer, whose work will be presented within the section Object.
