Design Miami/ starts tomorrow and I am particularly looking forward to the scent installation by olfactory design firm 12.29. Having just been through MAD’s new exhibition The Art of Scent 1889-2012 , I am going to see if I am able to analyze the complexity of a scent, in a way that goes beyond “mmmm that smells nice.” To learn more about people who do this for a living, click here for an interview with MAD’s artist in residence, perfumer Ralf Schwieger.
