Open Studios Circuit
Artists’ studios at Vila Madalena neighbourhood and Downtown São Paulo welcome the public the weekend before the Fair, 30–31 March. Works in progress and experimentations by Brazilian young artists can be viewed behind the scenes.
Free of charge, the programme is part of SP-Arte Week, an agenda of cultural events happening around town, in parallel with the activities presented inside the Bienal Pavilion during the Fair.
Gallery Night 2019
In Gallery Night fourth edition, 1–2 April, galleries from Vila Madalena, Pinheiros, Itaim, Jardins and Vila Nova Conceição neighbourhoods open their doors through late hours and welcome the public at night for exhibitions, guided tours, performances and parties.

Talks
Through panel discussions between international specialists, curators and collectors, SP-Arte promotes a vibrant platform that raises relevant discussions about the contemporary arts and design scene.
Besides the traditional discussions, a new platform is born: Meet the Artists. These meetings will consist of the public being able to interact with iconic artists and designers as well as learning more about their creative processes “behind the scenes”, which are usually unknown to most people.
Guided Tours
The educational agenda at the Bienal Pavilion features free thematic guided visits, sponsored by Vivo, as part of the Festival’s programme. The initiative emerges as an opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves into SP-Arte’s universe, its exhibitors and the thousands of artists’ works on view.
Prizes and Grants
SP-Arte constantly looks for ways to create and strengthen bonds that bring together different players from the art circuit. As such, it fosters activities aimed at artists, curators, institutions and galleries. These initiatives encourage continuous learning opportunities through residency grants abroad, offered to Brazilian creators, and financial support for the development of creative projects.
