The sixth edition of West Bund Art & Design features 97 leading galleries from 18 countries across Asia, Europe, North America and Oceania. Works included span from early 20th century modern art to contemporary art, and cover a range of media, from painting and sculpture to moving image and installation. Selected works provide a rich experience for collectors and general audiences alike, constituting a comprehensive statement of multi-culturalism and artistic charm.
West Bund Art & Design adopts a new visual identification system
In 2019, West Bund Art & Design adopts a new visual identification system, designed by renowned Dutch design studio thonik. The new logotype, in particular, comprising “westbund” in lowercase, differentiates itself from static, traditional logos with distinct letterforms that illustrate dynamism and motion.

The sixth edition of West Bund Art & Design continues to spread across Hall A and Hall N of West Bund Art Center. 28 new galleries are participating in West Bund for the first time. The line-up includes Galería Albarrán Bourdais, Gallery ALL, Cassina Projects, CLC Gallery Venture, Danysz Gallery, Galerie DUMONTEIL, Galerie EIGEN + ART, Fingerprint Gallery, Stephen Friedman Gallery, Gajah Gallery, Ginkgo Space, Hanyang Art Gallery, Galerie Jeanne Bucher Jaeger, Johyun Gallery, Galerie Lelong, Line Gallery, Mine Project, KOTARO NUKAGA, Salon 94, SHIBUNKAKU, Paul Stolper, Sullivan + Strumpf, TANG Contemporary Art, TING TING & FUN YEAR ART SPACE, Tokyo Gallery + BTAP, Tong Gallery + Projects, Useless Space, Yufuku Gallery.
This year, the Galleries Section shows a high return rate. This upcoming November will mark the inaugural Shanghai International Artwork Trading Month. It sees the embarkment of Shanghai International Artwork Trading Centre, set to provide whole-process service to galleries and collectors. This November, major museums, galleries, and art spaces across Shanghai will also present exhibitions. West Bund Art Museum, which has undergone preparation for several years, will be officially open to the public. Meanwhile, Power Station of Art, Yuz Museum, TANK Shanghai, Minsheng Art Museum, Prada Rong Zhai, Long Museum (West Bund), Shanghai Center of Photography, Rockbund Art Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art, Fosun Foundation and more will also deliver highlight exhibitions to create a vibrant artistic symphony in November.
