Spanning from the early 1960s to today, Yayoi Kusama’s exhibition posters are often covered in her signature polka dots, transforming the pop artist’s one-of-a-kind paintings and celebrated infinity rooms into collectible prints. Standout posters by Kusama include I Want To Sing My Heart Out In Praise Of Life, Endless Life of People, and Self-Portrait, three posters made in 2010 to commemorate “The Place for My Soul,” a special exhibition in the artist’s hometown in Japan at the Matsumoto City Museum of Art. These posters recreate some of Kusama’s signature square paintings, covered edge-to-edge in faces, patterns, eyes, and (of course) spots.
