Founded in 1973 by Joshua Mann Pailet at a time when very few galleries were solely devoted to fine art photography, A Gallery for Fine Photography is a living landmark in the history of photography. Located in New Orleans’ historic French Quarter, A Gallery’s inventory of over 3,000 photographs spans the entire history of the medium from its origins to the present – from Fox Talbot to Ansel Adams to Diane Arbus to now. Over the course of nearly a half-century in business, A Gallery has established itself as one of the most respected photography galleries in the world.
