About
Founded in 2003, ARTCOURT Gallery presents outstanding works of contemporary art by both established and young artists, including those who stood at the forefront of postwar Japanese art, as well as creators who have expanded and deepened new forms of crafts.
Since its founding in 2003, ARTCOURT Gallery has presented outstanding works of contemporary art that are marked by an abundance of conceptual, material, and technical originality by an array of artists, from internationally recognized figures to talented young creators, including those who stood at the forefront of postwar Japanese art such as Hitoshi Nomura and Norio Imai, as well as creators like Yo Akiyama, Shihoko Fukumoto, and Genta Ishizkua who have expanded and deepened new forms of crafts. Going beyond the dualism of fine art versus craft, we aim to make the most of our large-scale white cube gallery in Osaka, and our viewing room in a traditional Japanese house in Kyoto, to create entirely new contexts and experiences of contemporary art. 作品をご覧になりたい方はギャラリーのウェブサイトからご連絡ください。
