The first post soviet private and leading gallery in Georgia. The Gallery offers Georgian cultural heritage and contemporary art. In Tbilisi, the gallery operates in two exhibition spaces: 0108, 19a Ingorokva Str. and 0179, 68 Razmadze Str.
Baia Gallery opened its doors in 1992 (formerly called Gallery Orient, 1992-2000), and to become the first private gallery of the post-Soviet period that is still in operation to this day. The gallery works in two directions: The exhibiting of 20th century cultural heritage from private collections, and of 21st century contemporary art. The gallery collaborates with various museums and institutions in conducting large-scale projects and exhibitions. It investigates the Georgian art market, and publishes relevant books and catalogues. In Tbilisi, the gallery operates in two exhibition spaces: Baia Gallery (0108, 19a Ingorokva Str.) which focuses on the cultural heritage of the 20th century. Baia Gallery (0179, 68 Razmadze Str.) which focuses on contemporary art.
