Desiderio gallery is a Vienna-based contemporary art gallery with a focus on exhibiting and presenting both emerging and historically overlooked artists, located in the heart of Vienna’s city center in a historic building circa 18th Century and known as Johannesgasse 17.
After several years of successful experience in Middle East, as an independent art space and platform, our founder opened his first Vienna gallery in 2017, in the heart of Vienna’s city center in a historic building circa 18th Century and known as Johannesgasse 17, includes 3 exhibition rooms, plus 2 Platform spaces, and one Residency-Studio. This structure is considered part of the “Historic Centre of Vienna,” an area recognized as a World Heritage Site. The gallery is committed to presenting distinguished exhibitions which reflect the culture and attitudes of its artists and after a new opening in 2021 tries to be an international meeting point where social, cultural, political, creative and other relevant contemporary topics are discussed and put into practice.
