About
DITTRICH & SCHLECHTRIEM cultivates substantial relationships with both German and International collectors that support, protect, and enhance the represented artist’s presence and involvement in leading discourses on contemporary art.
DITTRICH & SCHLECHTRIEM gallery was founded in 2011 by Lars Dittrich and André Schlechtriem in a space on Tucholskystraße in Berlin-Mitte, where they premiered with the first solo show by Julian Charrière.
From the very beginning, the gallery has specialized in conceptual contemporary art across a wide range of media, concentrating on the representation of young artists and providing them with a platform for ambitious projects.
In January 2017, the gallery stepped up its support of innovative emerging artists and relocated within the neighborhood to a larger gallery space at Linienstraße 23.
In addition to publishing artists’ monographs, exhibition catalogues, and commissioned essays, DITTRICH & SCHLECHTRIEM regularly engages in institutional and curatorial projects.
