As one of Mexico's finest since 1961, the Juan Martín Gallery has represented several artists of great scale, such Vicente Rojo, Manuel Felguérez, Lola and Manuel Álvarez Bravo, Fernando García Ponce, among many others.
Founded in 1961 by Juan Martín, the gallery originally gathered the so-called "Ruptura Generation", characterized by the search for new forms of artistic expression. Among the most important artists of this tendency are Vicente Rojo, Fernando García Ponce, Lilia Carrillo, Alberto Gironella, Manuel Felguérez, Roger von Gunten and others. Since 1973, new artists such as Sebastian and Mario Martín del Campo have joined the ranks. But above all, the exhibition opens up to photography and represents Manuel and Lola Alvarez Bravo, both pillars of Mexican photography, Graciela Iturbide, Rafael Doniz and others.
