About
Our gallery, which presents art and jewellery on two floors, is situated directly in the centre of the old Emperor City of Aachen.
We offer paintings from around 1800 up to artworks by contemporary artists with a particular focus on Belgian Impressionism.
Located in Aachen's old town since 1980, Galerie Am Elisengarten carries art and jewelry from two centuries in the family tradition.
In timelessly modern and stylish surroundings, we focus on paintings of Belgian and French Impressionism from the 1850s to the 1950s. The Belgian Luminists, who tried to capture light and its effects in their works, also find their place with us.
In addition, we show selected Fauvist and Expressionist paintings as well as works by high-class artists such as K. O. Götz, Max Uhlig, Otto Freundlich and Markus Lüpertz. Works by excellent artists from the Aachen region such as Wolfgang Binding, Eric Peters, Oliver Czarnetta and Helge Hommes round off our program.
