Curaçao, part of the Dutch Caribbean, is a multicultural society, with a population of over the 130 thousand representing more than fifty nationalites. Unity and diversity has been part of the islands history and the the art found on the island is a reflection of its population. Gallery Alma Blou is the oldest and largest gallery on the island of Curaçao. Lusette Verboom has been running the gallery for over 25 years and has built a trustworthy relationship with the most well-known artists on the island. The gallery represents a diversity of artists from different nationalities and backgrounds, but also a diversity of artists from all over the Caribbean. Curacao has a large, diverse, prolific contemporary community of artists on high level. This is what we want to present at Artsy.
