Gallery Yukiko Nakajima, which mainly deals with post-war contemporary art, was founded in 2018 in Osaka, Japan.
Firstly, the significant art style of the gallery specializes in Japanese craftsmanship. According to our contemporary art style, we could name it 'Japanese mixed media'. It means that our contemporary styles have blended with European art techniques and traditional Japanese art elements and materials whose typical mediums include washi paper, kinpaku (very thin gold paper), ceramic techniques, wooden prints, sumi, and pigments (Japanese colour). Secondly, our gallery has been dealing with Sadaharu Horio who is a member of the Gutai group which was strongly influenced by Zero. He influenced the culture in our region for a long time.
