continues Mr. Katzens' career as an art dealer for over 30 years . The emphasis of the gallery is to provide quality works of art by International Contemporary and Modern Masters.
Hal Katzen the son of sculptor Lila Katzen exposure to art and artist of the post war period began at an early age. Growing up in Provincetown Ma. and surrounded by many of the artist and their work from the decades that followed the Hofmann School,shaped his vision. knowing important artist of the time and current artist continues his vision of the art world and the art market .
Mr Katzen Graduated from The Maryland Institute of Art in Baltimore. MD.
While attending college in the 70's he found his love for the gallery world and has continued ever since. In the late 70's after moving to New york, he helped direct the art publishing company and the Alex Rosenberg Gallery . Mr. Katzen opened his first gallery in Soho in 1984. Currently the gallery located uptown at 11 East 78 Street NYC .
