About
Himmelblau Printmaking Studio is the leading Printmaking studio in Finland. We are working with the most significative Finnish artists in the field. Every summer Himmelblau organises Finlayson Art Area, the biggest Art event in the Pirkanmaa region.
Printmaking Studio Himmelblau was founded in 1989, and it is located in the heart of Tampere, Finland. The most notorious artists in the field of printmaking are working with our studio in order to produce artworks of the utmost quality; the studio also has a gallery, where the produced series are on sale. Himmelblau's CEO, Pertti Ketonen, personally chooses and invites selected artists for exhibitions. Since 2015, Himmelblau also organises the biggest art event in the Pirkanmaa region, Finlayson Art Area; Finnish and international artists are invited to exhibit, and the event is free to the public. Finlayson Art Area has received the "Cultural Event of the Year" awarded by the city of Tampere in early 2017.
