About
Founded in 1925, the gallery Jeanne Bucher Jaeger is today one of the few international galleries with more than 90 years of experience and a selection of artists and artworks that covers the scope of European Art of the 20th and 21st centuries. Director Véronique Jaeger.
The JEANNE BUCHER JAEGER gallery is among the rare international galleries that has been in existence for over 90 years, with a list of artists and a collection of historical works covering the field of European Art of the 20th and 21st Centuries. Founded by Jeanne Bucher in 1925, the Gallery exhibited the Avant-Garde Abstract, Cubist, and Surrealist painters from the pre-war period. Under the direction of Jean-Francois Jaeger from 1947, the gallery exhibited the great European post-war Abstractionists, Primitive Art, and environmental sculptors of the 1980s. Under the direction of Véronique Jaeger since 2003, with two locations in Paris, the gallery is now developed around two axes : loans to leading international museum institutions and promotion of new international artists.
