Library Street Collective

Library Street Collective presents exhibitions and programming that connects Detroit to the international arts community while maintaining crucial support to the local creative renaissance of the city. The gallery’s influence extends beyond its walls into the city’s public, private and heritage spaces. The gallery has evolved to include exhibitions, collaborations, and partnerships with museums, as well as public projects and community-based initiatives. Expanding on this mission, Library Street Collective has transformed a century-old Romanesque-style church into the Shepherd, a cultural arts center with multi-faceted programming. Designed by Peterson Rich Office, the Shepherd includes exhibition spaces, a library, a performing arts theater, and a workshop space for the community.
