LIFT-LA’s mission is to empower families to break the cycle of poverty. We work with parents and caregivers of young children to provide them with the holistic financial, educational, career, social, and
personal supports they need to reach economic stability and mobility.
LIFT's mission is to empower families to break the cycle of poverty. LIFT-LA invests in families with a two-generation approach aimed to help parents achieve financial stability and personal well-being through personalized wraparound supports to transform their families' and children’s trajectories for generations to come. To do this, we pair parents of children ages 0-8, with Master of Social Work student interns and clinical staff (“coaches”) to develop individualized long-term goals. Coaches collaborate with members—100% of whom are low- to moderate-income—to create personalized action plans and connect them to resources, information, and partners that can help make their families' financial, educational, career, and social and personal well-being goals a reality.
