The gallery`s main focus lies on artists who work in the two- and three- dimensional domain at the same time. Therefore, exhibitions at the gallery often have the character of an installation involving the surrounding space.
Mirko Mayer Gallery/ m-projects, founded in 1998, represents young and international positions of contemporary art. Most of the artists pass their usual working spectrum and combine or transform different techniques and genres of art. In September 2012, Mirko Mayer Gallery moved to Erftstrasse 29 in the center of Cologne. Besides the main exhibitions there is a constantly changing program in an additional showroom including m-projects. The gallery shows regularly graduates of academies to built up relations with new generations and to show constantly discoveries of the very latest trends.
Since 20 years the gallery consults private and corporate collections with the focus on very young inventive positions as well as on established artists and masterpieces of art.
