Moth Belly Gallery was founded in the fall of 2020 by local artists John Vochatzer and KT Seibert as an artist-run gallery, arts media platform, and community space in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco. Moth Belly Gallery and has been open to the public since October of 2021, hosting monthly exhibits and more.
We are dedicated to the exploration, documentation, and promotion of what we find to be the most interesting currents in contemporary art in San Francisco, the greater Bay Area (and beyond), embracing "DIY" ethics of accessibility, and sustainability. While we strongly focus on emerging and underexposed local artists, we also believe providing exhibit opportunities and exposure to non-local artists is equally important in maintaining dynamic creative ecosystems.
