Pierre Staudenmeyer founded Mouvements Modernes in 2002. Since its early days Mouvements Modernes has focused on one-off collectible design pieces while producing a strong line of limited editions. Today it offers late 20th-century design icons - furniture, lighting as well exceptional objects. Mouvements Modernes also develops special projects with major contemporary artists and designers in limited edition.The Paris-based gallery organises exhibitions and special events showcasing contemporary objets d’art, designed by artists who explore the possibilities of materials and push the boundaries of their craft. The gallery now represents a dozen artists who work with wood, glass, metal and ceramics, and promotes them both on the French scene and internationally.
