OMAE Gallery presents the artists who take strong root from Korean tradition and history and deploy wide artistic leadership in the field of najeon(mother-of-pearl), ottchil(natural lacquer), ceramic, textile and silk threads, worldwide.
OMAE Gallery started in Insa-dong in 2016. We introduced craft works with clear Korean roots, and we moved to Seongsu-dong in 2017. Seongsu-dong is also called the Brooklyn of Korea. It is a place full of youthful enthusiasm. Numerous exhibitions and events have been held here so far, and as a result, it has earned its reputation as a ‘representative complex cultural space in Seongsu-dong’.
We always support the creative work of artists, and we will do our best to introduce Korean artists to the world. In addition, we would like to guide and introduce Korea to people around the world who want to know Korean art and culture.
I hope that OMAE will become a good bridge between Korea and the world, and a messenger of culture.
