Ostlicht. Gallery for Photography

Located in one of Vienna's upcoming cultural hubs, the Gallery’s 500 m2 space has housed comprehensive retrospectives, solo-exhibitions and conceptual group shows by the likes of Nobuyoshi Araki, Ren Hang, David LaChapelle and Juergen Teller. New storage facilities opened in 2015 are the home of the OstLicht Collection, which holds over 85.000 prints and unites together XIXth centuary, modern and contemporary masterpieces in one place. The gallery was founded by entrepreneur and photo enthusiast Peter Coeln who for more than 25 years now has provided collectors worldwide with the most sought-after vintage cameras available. The heart of his operation is the Leica Shop in Vienna’s 7th district. Coeln has also launched WestLicht Museum for Photography and WestLich Photographic Auction.
