Phosphorus & Carbon opened in February 2012 in Daegu, South Korea where the Korean Avant-garde movement was born in 1970s. P&C presents both emerging and internationally renowned Korean artists and serves as a medium between Korea and the international art scene.
Phosphorus & Carbon opened in February 2012 in Daegu, South Korea where the Korean avant-garde movement was born in 1970s. P&C focuses on promoting both emerging and internationally renowned Korean artists and Korean diaspora. Founded by LEE Ji Won, architect and composer whose father, LEE Hyun Jae is one of the founding members of Korean avant-garde movement, Phosphorus & Carbon hopes to keep the legacy of the avant-garde spirit alive and to serve as a medium between Korea and the international art scene.
