Paul Kotula Projects (PKP) was founded in 2006 to continue the cross-disciplinary program Kotula inspired as the founding director of Revolution: A Gallery Project, Detroit/New York from 1993 to 2005. The intimate spaces PKP now occupies once featured exhibitions by then-emerging artists Arturo Herrera and Rebecca Quaytman (H.R. Quaytman). Like Revolution Gallery, whose list of exhibiting artists included Dawoud Bey, Brenda Goodman, Howard Kottler, Ron Nagle, Thomas Nozkowski, Anne Wilson and Carrie Mae Weems, PKP is dedicated to exhibiting art which can elevate one’s perceptions of body, heart, and mind. We are committed to supporting the finest works of art in all disciplines from local to internationally renowned artists, while building connections between them.
