Shoshana Wayne Gallery was founded in 1986. Today the gallery is committed to showing both established and emerging artists from the United States, Europe, and Asia with a focus on, but not limited to, conceptual art, feminist art, and the handmade.
Since opening, Shoshana Wayne Gallery has presented a number of important historic exhibitions such as, Lost and Found in California: Four Decades of Assemblage Art (1988); West Coast Duchamp (1989); Rachel Lachowicz’s performance Red not Blue (1992); Viennese Actionism (1993); Young British Artists Group Show (1995) including Chris Ofili, Michael Landy, Sarah Lucas, and Peter Doig; and Wood Cuts: 1977-1997 by Anselm Kiefer (1998). Shoshana Wayne Gallery has continued to present exhibitions that have significantly expanded the visibility of artists to an international audience including: Michal Rovner, Nofim (2014); Izhar Patkin, The Dead are Here (2012); and Zadok Ben-David, Blackfield (2009), among others.
