About
Spring Workshop is a cultural initiative that experiments with the way we relate to art through residencies, exhibitions, music and talks. In 2016, Spring received the Prudential Eye Award for Best Asian Contemporary Art Organisation.
Spring Workshop's first five-year incarnation in Hong Kong was a forum for experimentation with artists, audiences, residencies and partnerships. From 2011-2018, Spring worked with 182 collaborators and residents of 22 nationalities, partnered with 14 fellow arts non-profits, presented 8 publications and welcomed over 19,000 visitors to its 14,500sf warehouse space. After presenting the inaugural exhibition at Tai Kwun Contemporary in the summer of 2018, Spring began a planned season of reflection and transformation.
