Artsy is proud to announce a new strategic partnership with ArtCloud, a top gallery operations management platform. Together, the companies have developed Artsy’s most robust integration to date—allowing galleries to seamlessly and securely export inventory from ArtCloud to Artsy and receive Artsy sales data back in ArtCloud, saving up to 80% of the time it currently takes galleries to manage their online presence.

Artsy Launches New Digital Initiative “The Artsy Edition Shop”

Artsy is pleased to launch The Artsy Edition Shop. This new digital initiative will feature limited-edition works from around 16 leading galleries and print publishers including Gagosian, Hauser & Wirth, David Zwirner, White Cube, Almine Rech, Perrotin, Crown Point Press, Gemini G.E.L., Matthew Marks Gallery, Pace Prints, Sprüth Magers, and more.

This new dedicated feature on Artsy will consist of individual storefronts for each gallery to showcase around 10–15 new and noteworthy limited-edition prints, sculptures, design, and other collectible objects, including new-to-Artsy pieces. Prices range from around $150 to upwards of $20,000.

Artists Launches The Artsy Vanguard 2025

Artsy is pleased to unveil its 2025 edition of The Artsy Vanguard, an annual feature on the most promising artists working today. This year it will focus on 10 early-career artists gaining international traction, who were selected based on their original work, growing influence among galleries and institutions, insightful Artsy data—such as follows and commercial interest on Artsy—as well as interest from private collectors, in addition to other factors.

“Artists for Kamala” Benefit Sale Organized by Harris Victory Fund Exceeds Pre-Sale Estimate, Achieving $1.5 Million

On October 8, 2024 at 3pm EDT, the Artists for Kamala benefit auction concluded on Artsy, exceeding pre-sale expectations. The sale, which featured 54 artworks donated by a diverse roster of leading contemporary artists, attracted almost 1,400 registered bidders—the highest number for a benefit auction on Artsy by more than 1,000—and achieved a total in excess of $1.5 million (pre-sale est. $1m). The proceeds from the sale will benefit the Harris Victory Fund to support the presidential campaign and Democrats across the country.

The sale included several artworks donated by leading contemporary artists such as Jenny Holzer, Jeff Koons, and Jasper Johns that sold for six-figure sums. Various works had deep bidding that led to results exceeding pre-sale estimates, including pieces by Hank Willis Thomas, Rashid Johnson, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Christine Sun Kim, Amy Sillman, Njideka Akunyili Crosby, and Kii Arens.

Artsy to Stage “Artists for Kamala” Sale to Benefit Harris Victory Fund

Artsy, the world’s largest online platform for discovering and collecting art, is pleased to have been chosen by the Harris Victory Fund to stage Artists for Kamala, a benefit sale that will feature 164 artworks donated by leading contemporary artists such as Hank Willis Thomas, George Condo, Jeff Koons, Catherine Opie, and Amy Sherald. Proceeds from the sale will go to the Harris Victory Fund to support the presidential campaign and Democrats across the country. Works range in price from $250 for prints to upwards of $300,000 for works by masters like Jeff Koons and Amy Sherald.

Artsy will host an online auction of around 50 artworks, which will launch on Monday, September 30, 2024 at a Harris Victory Fund event in New York and close on Wednesday, October 8, 2024. Bidding will open on Artsy on September 30th at 4 p.m. EDT and lots begin to close on October 8th at 3 p.m. EDT. The Artsy portion of the sale is expected to raise more than $1 million.

Saatchi Collection & Artsy Announce Three-Part Major Benefit Auction

Artsy is delighted to announce a three-part sale of around 500 artworks from the Saatchi Collection, assembled by renowned British art collector Mr. Charles Saatchi, which will commence on September 11, 2024. 100% of the hammer price* of artworks sold will benefit Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity), helping to support seriously ill children from across the UK.

Artsy Appoints Dustyn Kim as Company’s President

Artsy is pleased to announce Dustyn Kim’s promotion to President of the company, effective immediately. Kim joined Artsy in 2017 and has served as Chief Revenue Officer for the past four years. The first female President in Artsy’s history, Kim will retain her responsibilities overseeing all revenue lines while taking on a broader leadership role across all business and operations functions to support Jeffrey Yin, who was appointed Chief Executive Officer earlier this month. Kim will also take a larger role in corporate development opportunities.

During his time at Artsy, Yin has overseen strategy and operations for the company, supporting key initiatives to grow the business and provide new tools and services to its partners and collectors.

The third edition of Foundations, running July 23–August 12, 2024, will feature 71 small and emerging galleries—including 38 returning names—from across 6 continents. Foundations Summer 2024 will focus on artist-forward curation with emphasis put on smaller galleries that nurture early-career artists and artwork prices ranging from $500–$10,000. The Artsy Foundations Prize will also return to recognize an emerging artist for their promising talent, seen through their work exhibited in the fair.

Foundations Winter 2024 Concludes with Strong Results for Emerging Artists and Galleries Alike

Following the debut of Foundations in July 2023, the Winter 2024 edition, which ran from January 23 to February 14, 2024, continued to spotlight small and rising tastemaking galleries, and to underscore Artsy’s mission to expand the art market to support more artists.

Foundations Winter 2024 became the most trafficked fair on Artsy of the past 12 months and participating galleries and artists experienced a significant boost in commercial interest and visibility.

Foundations—Artsy’s Online Art Fair Focused on Small & Emerging Galleries—Returns for its Second Edition

Artsy announces the second edition of Foundations, a digital art fair that spotlights works from tastemaking galleries known for supporting emerging artists. Foundations is focused on artist forward curation with emphasis put on smaller galleries that nurture early-career artists with artwork prices ranging from $200–$50,000.

This edition features 130 exhibitors spanning 36 countries—including Nigeria, Poland, Turkey, and Indonesia—and continues Artsy’s efforts to spotlight small and rising galleries. The Winter 2024 edition will run from Tuesday, January 23 to Wednesday, February 14 on artsy.net and will present over 2,000 works by more than 500 fresh and underrecognized artists from across the globe.

Artsy is also pleased to announce the inaugural Artsy Foundations Prize, which recognizes an emerging artist for their promising talent, seen in their work presented during Foundations. The winner will receive a billboard spotlight in New York’s landmark Times Square for two weeks, giving the broader public an opportunity to discover their talent.

The Artsy Vanguard 2023 features the top ten up-and-coming artists gaining traction across the globe. The Vanguard is an annual selection of artists who, based on Artsy data, recent success, and public influence, represent some of the most promising talent working today.
