AITY Gallery @ the AAF Battersea Autumn 2024

This year will mark the 25th Anniversary of the AAF Battersea Autumn.
Dear Art Lovers, we’re thrilled to announce that we are attending the AAF in London for the second consecutive year!
As someone originally from London, returning to this vibrant art scene feels like coming full circle, and it’s an honor to bring with me a talented group of seven South African artists, each at various stages of their careers. This marks not just our second year at the fair but my fourth trip to the UK for art exhibitions. My journey began back in 2003 and 2004, when I attended the Affordable Art Fair in Battersea as part of my first business exporting South African art to the UK. After our incredible experience last year, we’ve gained valuable insights and are arriving this time with a clearer sense of the trends shaping the UK art market.

STAND J-6 We’re thrilled to present a curated selection of 9 artists!
We’re excited to present a diverse mix of mediums—ceramics, bronze, thick impasto acrylics, and fine oils on linen. Half of our artists are returning with strong momentum, while the other half are debuting at the fair, but all have enjoyed success through their collaboration with myself and the gallery.
THE DIRECTOR’S CUT: BATTERSEA AUTUMN 2024
Ahead of Affordable Art Fair Battersea Autumn, 16 - 20 October 2024, we caught up with Fair Director Hugo Barclay to find out his must-see artists and galleries! Mariano Botas, AITY Gallery: These gorgeous original landscapes are like finding an opening to a new-found land. Deeply connected inspirations from Chile come through in Mariano’s pallet and his use of colour and light make you want to stop and stare at them forever.
